Tad Simmons, Founder and CEO, has spent 12 years researching environmental technology and development, has 7 years experience as an electrical engineer and technical lead at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in San Diego, 3 years experience in solar energy sales, and 2 years experience as an independent engineering and business management consultant. Mr. Simmons has a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, an M.B.A., as well as a certificate in Global Business Management obtained at SAIC.

Mr. Simmons is Chairman of the San Diego Section of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and is a member fo the Capital Formation committee of the San Diego CleanTECH trade association
established by CONNECT in San Diego.

Olaf Walter, Ph.D., COO
Dr. Walter was educated as a chemical engineer in Germany and earned his PhD in Public Health Engineering from Portsmouth Polytechnic in the U.K. He has 20+ years global experience mainly at The Dow Chemical Company, where he was responsible for a wide variety of business operations, most recently as Senior Technology Leader of Manufacturing & Engineering for Dow's Industrial Biotechnology Business. Olaf currently utilizes his expertise consulting for mostly entrepreneurial enterprises, developing business strategies and their implementation. His expertise spans fermentation technologies; whole plant derived bio-production, water and wastewater treatment technologies, chemical manufacturing, process development, business and competitive analysis, and sophisticated economic modeling.

Dr. Walter serves as a Business & Scientific adviser for 'iDiverse, a San Diego biotechnology company focused on novel gene technology, as well as an advisor to the board of Envirepel Energy Inc,, a solid waste gasification company based in San Diego. Olaf also is a member of the 'Science & Technology' committee of the recently formed San Diego CleanTECH trade association
established by CONNECT in San Diego.

Dr. Walter's primary interest is to enhance the ability for technological entrepreneurs to succeed in the sustainability market, thereby bringing better technology to bear on the envrionmental issues we all face.

Nick Dederer, CFO
Formerly a senior manager at Intel Corporation with a B.S. degree in Conservation of Natural Resources, and an MBA both from UC Berkeley, Mr. Dederer is an experienced finance professional in global corporate environments and start up ventures.  He was most recently CFO for Sophia Acquisition Corporation, where he built and maintained fiscally responsible management systems. He was COO and Director at Trend Micro, Inc., where he put in place 5 regional controllers, standardized worldwide compensation and performance practices, and helped develop global uniform coverage on copyrights and trademarks. Mr. Dederer was with Intel Corporation for 21 years where he was Controller of several divisions including network products, supercomputers, development tools and memory products. He was also Director of Channels and Operations for the Systems Management Division accountable for the division's global revenue production.

Mr. Dederer’s enthusiasm in this firm is directed toward helping young companies to establish sound fiscal policies and systems, and to help them grow.

Terry Moore (Advisory Board Chairman)
Terry is a life-long entrepreneur, has been involved as a founder, director, investor, top executive and as an advisor with the start-up and growth of many high technology and high growth companies. He has over twenty-three years experience in industry sectors as diverse as semiconductors and telecommunications, computer hardware and software, information technology, multimedia and e-commerce, advanced materials and aerospace, to biotech, lifesciences and medical device ventures. Terry left an executive marketing position with the Advanced Technology Group of General Atomics in La Jolla, California in 1993 to found his own venture management advisory services company.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, seasoned business advisor, angel investor and member of the Board of Directors; Terry has held a number of senior level executive positions, from Vice President of Sales and Marketing to President and Chief Executive Officer. He has held Board of Director and CEO roles at a civil and structural engineering company (Retrofit Technologies), an Internet and multimedia development firm (CommTool), and a manufacturing, marketing and distribution company (Boyce & Bean). He is the Founder and Chairman of the San Diego Chapter and a Member of the Silicon Valley VC-Angel Roundtable, a private, invitation-only organization for venture capitalists and angels investors.

Julio Ferreira
Mr. Ferreira is Brazilian and currently resides in La Jolla.  He directs Sphaera International Partnerships (Sphaera-Interpar) a full-service marketing and public relations firm.  Sphaera assists international private and institutional investors to identify opportunities to invest in US businesses that provide economic development while respecting the environment and conserving natural resources.
 
Julio  Ferreira was elected to City Council and served in various political offices for 12 years in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  He was president of the Ambient Air Committee in the Department of Education and Health ,  Special Secretary of Coordination, Volta Redonda City Environmental Commission, and Special Secretary of Environmental Quality in Santa Rita de Jacutinga in Minas Gerais. Julio is an enthusiastic visionary who believes in a new international order to bring a sustainable development  to all humankind.

Daniel Wolf, J.D. (Harvard Law School) and Ph.D. (abd, University of California, San Diego) is Chairman of Advanced Earth Technologies, a developer of counter-bomb robots for the Defense Department, President of Terra Segura International, a nonprofit technology company pioneering market-oriented solutions for landmine removal, is or was a principal in several environmental and public health-oriented companies and organizations, and was the founding Director of the TransBorder Institute at the University of San Diego, where he also taught political science. He is undefeated in his pro-bono legal work, was consultant to the U.S. Attorney for Southern district of California, and practiced as an architect in Oregon, where he was recognized for engineering quality and innovation in passive solar architecture.
 
Mr. Wolf's Harvard Law studies emphasized international law, international contracts, and negotiation; at the University of California San Diego he won fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Tinker Foundation, and the University of California MEXUS Consortium; his undergraduate work at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, included heavy doses of Economics and Physics, and he won a fellowship from the Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Foundation for research in India. His background has given him great depth of experience and numerous business and government contacts around the world.

Dan Noble is Co-Founder and Partner of Resource Trends, Inc. (www.resourcetrends.com), a nationally recognized recycled resource market development firm, based in Southern California.  He was founding financial editor and senior stock analyst for the Environmental Business Journal, and was Co-Founder of the Border Environmental Commerce Alliance, a San Diego business incubator. He has over 30 years of environmental education, market research, publishing and strategic consulting experience in both the public and private sector. Mr. Noble has B.A. degrees in Biology and Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego and M.S. degrees in Molecular Biology and Education from the University of Oregon.
